Ashley Westwood signs new Northampton Town deal

Westwood was with the Northampton squad that won promotion in 2006

Northampton defender Ashley Westwood has signed a new contract keeping him at Sixfields until 31 December.

The 35-year-old, who had a three-year spell with the Cobblers earlier in his career, rejoined the club in August after leaving Crewe.

He has made 442 senior appearances during his career, which started as a trainee at Manchester United.

Meanwhile, the Cobblers have extended the loan of Peterborough defender Kelvin Langmead, 26, until 2 January.
