Grimsby Town snap up defender Jamie Green

Green has made 54 Football League starts at the age of 22

Blue Square Bet Premier outfit Grimsby Town have signed former Rotherham United defender Jamie Green on non-contract terms.

The 22-year-old was released by the League Two Millers at the end of the season after making 76 appearances in three and a half years.

Green can play at left-back, as a wing-back and in midfield.

He played under joint Mariners bosses Rob Scott and Paul Hurst during a loan spell at Boston United last season.
