Torquay United's Chris McPhee hopes to get striker role

Torquay United's Chris McPhee has said he is hoping he will be given the chance to play up front against Macclesfield Town on Saturday.
With Billy Bodin playing for the Wales Under-21 side and Rene Howe out with a hamstring problem, Taiwo Atienio is the only fit first-choice striker.
But McPhee, who was signed as a wide-man in June by manager Martin Ling, said he is ready to step up.
"Hopefully, I'm in his thoughts," McPhee told BBC Radio Devon.
McPhee has spent much of his career as a striker and scored 30 goals in a two-and-a-half-year spell at Kidderminster before he moved back to Plainmoor.
"If I had to list my positions in order of favourability then striker would come ahead of playing out wide," McPhee said.
"I'm sure the gaffer's aware that I've played a few times up front, especially last season when I scored 18 goals.
"I'd be delighted to have a chance up front. I played there for about 45 minutes in pre-season and scored at Truro," he added.
Rene Howe is likely to be out for a week after suffering a grade one tear in his hamstring.
