Braintree 1-0 Lincoln

Blue Square Bet Premier

Andrew Yiadom's first-half goal proved enough to give Braintree Town all three points against Lincoln City.

Braintree started brightly with Matt Paine, Sean Marks and Jai Reason going close within the first 20 minutes.

Yiadom struck just after the half-hour mark from 25 yards, his right-foot effort finding the bottom left corner.

Braintree keeper Nathan McDonald saved twice from John Nutter after the break and Sam Smith hit the bar with a header but the home side held on to win.
