No Yeovil Town deal for striker Rory Fallon

Yeovil have confirmed they will not be extending the contract of New Zealand international Rory Fallon.

The 29-year-old former Plymouth striker joined the club on a short-term deal in August and made six appearances, five of which were as a substitute.

"He's still training with us at the moment to keep his fitness up," boss Terry Skiverton told BBC Somerset.

"But what I'm looking for is a little bit different from what Rory brings to the table."

Skiverton revealed he had missed out on signing Norwich's Oli Johnson and Chelsea youngster Conor Clifford, 19.

Striker Johnson, 23, spent six months on loan at Huish Park last season and scored three goals in 17 appearances.

"We went for Oli Johnson at Norwich," confirmed Skiverton. "I went to watch Chelsea and I tried to get their lad Conor Clifford but we didn't manage to get either of them.

"One was permanent but we couldn't quite get close enough to their valuation that Norwich were after.

"It was a little bit frustrating. With the injuries we've had we are definitely still looking for a striker."
