Wycombe will be without defender Dave Winfield for about a month as he will undergo groin surgery.
The 23-year-old will also receive treatment for an ongoing knee injury he picked up last season.
The centre-half has played six times this season but missed Saturday's 3-0 loss to Huddersfield.
"Dave injured his knee against Torquay in April but he's battled through the pain since then," said head of medical and sports science Stuart Ayles.
"We want to make sure he gets the best rehabilitation to reduce the chances of missing more games throughout the season.
"He also needs an operation on his groin and we expect him to be fit again for the start of October."
