Huddersfield 2-0 Tranmere

Huddersfield stretched their unbeaten run to 32 league games with a routine victory over Tranmere.

Gary Roberts put the hosts in front with a wonderful volley after Rovers failed to clear Jack Hunt's free-kick.

The visitors thought they had levelled through Max Power's well-struck shot after a neat move but the offside flag curtailed their celebrations.

The Terriers made the result safe when Scott Arfield finished calmly from the edge of the area.

VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM

Huddersfield boss Lee Clark told BBC Radio Leeds:

"The win builds confidence. We create chances so you have to keep stressing to the group that if you keep clean sheets we'll have a good chance of winninwe matches because we do have goals in the side.

"The lads who are coming off the bench are doing the goods. Gary Roberts came on an scored with a tough technique, he's hit it sweet as a nut, while Scott Arfield has tucked his away really well.

"Ian Bennett has made some really good saves, dont get me wrong it wasn't all one way traffic, but we're really happy"
