Hamilton's Dougie Imrie wins SFL's August player award

Imrie's form has helped Hamilton to the top of Division One

Hamilton Academical forward Dougie Imrie has been named player of the month for August in the Scottish Football League.

Imrie collected his Irn Bru Phenomenal award after helping Billy Reid's side end the month unbeaten in Division One.

The pre-season favourites lead the table on goal difference from Morton.

Accies' only defeat of the month came at the hands of First Division rivals Ross County in the Scottish Communities League Cup at New Douglas Park.
