Annan's Harry Cairney is Division Three boss of month

Cairney received his award as he celebrated his 50th birthday

Five straight wins have earned Annan Athletic's Harry Cairney the Irn Bru Phenomenal manager of the month award for August in Division Three.

At the end of July, they recorded a 2-1 victory over Scottish Premier League outfit Dunfermline Athletic in the Scottish Communities League Cup.

And they went on to top the Third Division table with four August wins.

Annan also progressed to the quarter-finals of the Ramsdens Cup with a 4-2 win over Peterhead during the month.
