Crewe striker Shaun Miller says that his performances will not be affected by the ongoing speculation surrounding his future at the club.

Miller has been linked with a move to a Championship club but there have been no recent bids for the 23-year-old.

He told BBC Radio Stoke: "You can't take much notice of it, I'm here at Crewe and just want to score goals.

"We've got a great bunch of lads and I want to score goals which will mean we all move up the table."

Miller scored a total of 19 goals last season, and has already scored five in all competitions during the opening month of this season.

His goal helped Crewe to their first three points of this campaign at Plymouth last month, and he followed that up with two more in their 3-1 win over Oxford on Saturday.

He explained: "It's always nice to get the first goal of the season, as close to the start of the season as possible.

"I think I could have scored more and now I just want to score as many as I can to help the team."

Miller signed his first professional contract with club in 2006 after progressing through their youth system.
