Macclesfield scored their quickest-ever goal after only seven seconds as they drew with leaders Morecambe.
Striker Ben Tomlinson netted the memorable early goal as he beat three defenders and fired a 25-yard shot into the far corner.
The visitors levelled when Danny Carlton poked home from close range after a Lawrence Wilson free-kick.
And the same man came close to snatching three points for Morecambe but headed wide from six yards out.
VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Macclesfield Town manager Gary Simpson told BBC Radio Manchester:
"I thought there were a lot of terrific performances out there tonight and the team's performance was terrific.
"On another night we might have got away with that and ended up winning it but we'll take the point and the performance.
"Waide [Fairhurst] joined in the with the warm-up tonight, so I think squad wise we're looking half decent."
