Southport captain Alan Moogan says midfielder Godfrey Poku has made a big impact on the club since his loan move from Luton Town.
Poku and striker Dan Walker have joined from the Hatters until December.
Moogan told BBC Radio Merseyside: "He's a good player. He wants to get on the ball, puts a foot in and he's all over the pitch.
"At the minute, we've only played two games together and it's really good playing with him."
He added: "They've both come into the changing room and they're both having banter with the lads. They're both good kids and they've settled in really well off the pitch and on the pitch - so lets hope that can continue."
Southport beat AFC Telford 3-2 on Saturday, but the Sandgrounders soaked up a lot of pressure from the visitors in the second half.
Moogan says his team need to add mental discipline to their game, after gaining a healthy lead in the opening 20 minutes at Haig Avenue.
"When we are 3-0 up, we've got to kill the game sometimes," the skipper added. "We were enjoying ourselves after half an hour and at times we try to do things too quickly.
"We need to kill the game, re-group and get our shape. That's definitely something we've got to work on."
