Northern Ireland boss Nigel Worthington admitted individual mistakes cost them dearly in the 4-1 defeat in the Euro 2012 qualifier in Estonia.

"There is not a lot you can say, we contributed to our own downfall," the NI manager told BBC Radio Ulster.

"We made errors and did not deal with situations the way we should have. It is hugely disappointing and a 4-1 scoreline is not nice to take.

"It was not our night but we have to take it and move on."

Skipper Aaron Hughes also did not attempt to disguise where Northern Ireland had gone so badly wrong.

He said: "It is not often we make individual errors, but we have made three or four in one night.

"Sometimes that happens and tonight was not a good night for us.

"We played well in spells. We tried to create chances but gave the ball away in bad places and it cost us.

"At this level, you get punished."
