Barrow 3-1 Wrexham

Adam Boyes
Boyes' brace takes his tally for the season to seven

Wrexham stay top of the Blue Square Bet Premier despite their 10 men suffering a first defeat as Adam Boyes' double inspired Barrow to a comeback victory.

Jake Speight fired Wrexham into the lead as he hit his fifth of the season into the net after beating his marker.

Phil Bolland put Barrow level as he connected with Paul Smith's cross before Boyes put the hosts ahead after Wrexham keeper Joslain Mayebi's error.

Boyes' second came after Danny Wright was sent off for a clash with Bolland.

He pounced for his second of the game and seventh of the season after Mayebi had parried Paul Rutherford's shot into the path of Barrow's top-scorer.

But Wrexham remain top on goal difference as second-placed Gateshead, who are level on points with Dean Saunders' Welshmen, lost 3-1 at Fleetwood.
