Kilmarnock will be without full-back Danny Buijs for Saturday's match with Dunfermline at Rugby Park.

Dutch defender Buijs, who arrived in the summer from Den Haag, has a pulled hamstring, and could be replaced by youngster Alex Pursehouse.

Pursehouse has yet to make a senior appearance for the club, but Killie boss Kenny Shiels thinks he is ready.

"We'll have to make a decision if he's ready to go in - I think he is," Shiels said.

Ryan O'Leary and David Silva are also out of Saturday's match, while Mohamadou Sissoko, who has signed on for a second loan spell with Kilmarnock, is not yet fit enough to take his place in central defence.

"Mohamadou's not ready, he's just a little bit behind in fitness," Shiels continued.

"We've given him extra work this week; some game work and some physical work.

"He's not going to be in the squad this weekend. We've got two games the following week on Saturday and Tuesday and we're preparing him for one of those games to include him in the squad."
