Naylor made his Stags debut at 17

Mansfield Town defender Tom Naylor is trying to earn a deal with Championship side Derby County.

The Stags last week revealed that the 20-year-old right-back would spend a week on trial with two unnamed clubs from England's top two divisions.

And Naylor played 67 minutes for a strong Rams reserves side as they cruised to a 6-1 win over Walsall on Wednesday evening.

Naylor is scheduled to link-up with a Premier League side next week.
