Stockport County cancel Matty Mainwaring's contract

Mainwaring made 33 appearances for County, scoring once

Stockport County have cancelled midfielder Matty Mainwaring's contract by mutual consent.

The 21-year-old spent time at Manchester United as a youngster but came through Preston's youth system.

He joined the Hatters in the summer of 2008 and made 22 appearances in his first season but since then has suffered a succession of injuries.

Mainwaring has not featured this season and played just 11 games last season as County were relegated from League Two.
