The Swifts eased to three points against a depleted Donegal Celtic side at Suffolk Road.
Dungannon's early pressure was rewarded when Dermot McCaffrey fired past keeper Robert Robinson after 25 minutes.
Celtic's hopes faded with the dismissal of Niall Atkinson just before half-time for a two-footed tackle on PJ Lavery.
The hosts nearly levelled when Johnny Gowdy hit the bar but Swifts striker Michael Ward sealed the win with a 84th minute penalty.
