Hibernian's hopes of catching Scottish Women's Premier League holders Glasgow City suffered a setback after a 1-0 defeat at home to Rangers.
Jen Callaghan's goal leaves the Edinburgh side six points adrift and having played one extra game.
City, who face bottom side Falkirk on Wednesday, hammered Forfar Farmington 7-0, with Kat Lindner and Lisa Evans both scoring doubles.
Third-top Spartans and fourth-placed Celtic also both enjoyed 7-0 wins.
Diana Barry scored a hat-trick as Spartans, who are 10 points behind Glasgow, thumped Inverness.
Suzanne Grant and Jacqui Seagrave both scored twice for Celtic, who are a further point behind, as they swept aside Kilmarnock.
Meanwhile, Susan Fairlie grabbed a hat-trick during Hamilton Academical's entertaining 6-3 win over Hutchison Vale.
