Braintree moved level on points with the play-off places as they came from behind to win at Hayes and Yeading.
The hosts, with only two wins from their first 10 matches, went ahead when Pierre Joseph-Dubois netted from Louie Soares' cross.
Nine minutes later, Braintree levelled when Sean Marks set up Andrew Yiadom.
Braintree secured their sixth win of the season when Jai Reason met Ben Wright's cross from close range, before Reason missed a last-minute penalty.

Braintree Town manager Alan Devonshire told BBC Essex:
"Second half, we've had loads and loads of chances to win the game more comfortably, I'm delighted with that.
"We can play a lot better than that, but we're deserved winners because we've had all the chances and missed a penalty as well.
"We've had half a dozen chances where we could have easily scored and won the game more comfortably."
