Senegal striker Papiss Demba Cisse has been told he can leave German side Freiburg at the end of the season if the right offer comes in.
The pledge is part of a new contract that has also handed the 26-year-old a salary increase.
"After long negotiations we have found the right solution for both parties," the club's sporting director Dirk Hufner told Kicker magazine.
"It was very important for us that he remain another season."
Dufner added that Cisse could leave for the highest offer "as long as it's in the region of his market value."
The player's agent has previously told the BBC that the Bundesliga club are holding out for an offer of 15m Euros.
The end of Cisse's contract will still be June 2014, as it was when he first joined the club.
Cisse, who has scored four goals in five Bundesliga games, scored 22 in the league last season, second only to Bayern Munich forward Mario Gomez (28).
