Sheffield Wednesday net Nottingham Forest's McGoldrick

McGoldrick has made four appearances for Forest this season

Sheffield Wednesday have signed striker David McGoldrick on a month's loan from Nottingham Forest.

The 23-year-old is poised to make his debut for the Owls in Saturday's League One clash with Yeovil.

McGoldrick moved to the City Ground from Southampton for £1m in the summer of 2009 and has scored nine times in 35 starts for Forest.

He told the Wednesday's club website: "This is a massive club and I have jumped at the chance."
