Glenavon remain without a win after eight rounds of games in this season's Carling Premiership after they were held by Dungannon at Stangmore Park.

Dermot O'Carroll's 76th-minute penalty looked to have earned Glenavon the points but Joe McCready's 85th-minute strike earned the Swifts a draw.

Glenavon's penalty came after Niall Henderson was fouled by Adam McMinn.

Peter McCann and Andy Graham went close for Glenavon early on while Dungannon's Shay Campbell hit the woodwork.

Glenavon remain rooted to the bottom of the table with only two points from eight games and they are five adrift of second-bottom Carrick.

Dungannon are in eighth place - six points ahead of Glenavon.
