Braintree Town striker Ben Wright says the team are adapting well to life in the Blue Square Bet Premier.
The Iron have won their last three matches 1-0 and sit ninth in the table and Wright scored the winner in Saturday's victory at home to Newport.
He told BBC Essex: "I think all our players are stepping up to the level really well.
"No-one is looking out of place. We're top half, maybe even one of the better sides in the league."
Wright has scored three goals since joining the Essex club in the summer.
Meanwhile, Southend United midfielder Merrick-James Lewis has been recalled from his loan spell with the Iron.
The 19-year-old started just two matches in his brief stint at the club.
