Mali defender Adama Coulibaly has been ruled out for two weeks with a thigh strain by his French club Auxerre.
It means he could struggle to be fit for the Eagles' crucial 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier away to Liberia on 8 October.
Mali currently top Group A and a win in Liberia will see them qualify for the finals in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
He picked up the injury playing Caen last weekend and will now miss his club's next three games.
