Plymouth Argyle Ladies went down to a 5-1 home defeat at the hands of top of the table Portsmouth in the FA Women's Premier League Southern division.

Jemma Tewksbury opened the scoring for the visitors after 20 minutes with Gemma Hillier doubling the lead 15 minutes later.

Lindsey Roe and a second for Hillier left Argyle four down before Anusia Rourke struck a consolation for Argyle.

Charley Wilson rounded off the scoring with Portsmouth's fifth.

The defeat leaves Plymouth second from bottom of the table with four points from their first five matches.
