Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of defender Clint Hill from Queens Park Rangers on a 93-day emergency loan.

Forest need defensive cover following a knee ligament injury to Chris Cohen, who has been ruled out for the season.

The 32-year-old is available to make his debut in Saturday's Championship trip to Watford.

Forest boss Steve McClaren said: "He has great experience and will add to our defensive options."

Hill, who can play at full-back or centre-half, played 45 games as QPR won promotion to the top flight last term.

But he was sent off in the 4-0 defeat by Bolton on the opening day of the season and has not featured since.

Hill started his career at Tranmere Rovers and represented Oldham Athletic and Stoke City before moving to London with Crystal Palace and then QPR in June 2010.
