James McCarthy, Jon Walters and Seamus Coleman have returned to the Republic of Ireland squad for the Euro 2012 qualifiers against Andorra and Armenia.

McCarthy and Walters were left out of the 0-0 draws with Slovakia and Russia earlier this month, while Coleman is back after injury.

Wigan midfielder McCarthy was later elevated from the Under-21s side for the trip to Moscow.

However, there is no place for Newcastle's in-form striker Leon Best.

The Republic travel to Andorra on Friday, 7 October and host Armenia at the Aviva Stadium four days later in their final two Group B games knowing victories in both would certainly cement second place and a play-off berth, but could yet clinch automatic qualification.

Giovanni Trapattoni's team trail leaders Russia by two points after their goalless draw in Moscow on 6 September.

However, Dick Advocaat's men will play in Slovakia on 7 October knowing that defeat would cost them top spot if the Republic win their final two qualifiers.

Slovakia shocked the Russians 1-0 in Moscow last September.
