Kidderminster moved up into the Blue Square Bet Premier play-off places with victory at troubled Kettering.
The Poppies hit the headlines in midweek after strikers Moses Ashikodi and Jean-Paul Marna were sent off for fighting each other.
Jamille Matt latched on to Jack Byrne's through ball and controlled well before powering home for the winner.
Debutant Kiernan Hughes-Mason went closest for the hosts but his shot was well saved by Dean Lyness.
Kettering, who were showing six changes from the team that lost 5-3 to Hayes & Yeading, sit in the Blue Square Bet Premier relegation zone.
Kidderminster were good value for their win and move up to fifth.

Kettering Town manager Mark Stimson told BBC Radio Northampton:
"Overall performance, I can't ask any more. I'm disappointed that we didn't score, that we didn't get a bit of luck in front of the goal.
"You've got to give everything and the boys did that without getting a break.
"I'd have liked to see a couple more threaded passes, to try to split the defence a little bit."
