Two goals by Mark McAllister and one from Aaron Burns proved enough to give champions and Premiership leaders Linfield victory over Carrick Rangers.
A defensive-minded Rangers held out until the 35th minute when McAllister shot in from in front of goal after a great run by Burns into the box
It stayed 1-0 until the 79th minute when Rory Patterson set up Burns to fire in Linfield's second.
Patterson then crossed for McAllister to stab in just before the end.
The result keeps the Blues top of the table on goal difference from in-form Portadown.
Linfield had a number of chances before McAllister made the breakthrough.
Patterson had a header saved by Slovakian keeper Maros Valko who also parried a Stephen Douglas effort early in the second half.
