Hereford United assistant manager Russell Hoult says he feels the goalless draw at Cheltenham will be something for the team to build on.

It was the Bulls' first point in four games, and came after a 6-1 home thrashing by Gillingham.

Hoult told BBC Hereford and Worcester: "We just need that little bit of luck that we are not getting at the moment.

"We'll keep working and we'll keep digging out results like this."

He continued: "I think the lads try to express themselves, I just think we have not that great deal of luck.

"We have not scored many goals and have conceded a lot, but we have to find something to build on.

"If we can build on the clean sheet at Cheltenham, the confidence will start coming."

The Bulls had loan players Sam Winnall and Tom Barkhuizen in the starting line-up at Cheltenham, and Hoult said: "They are quality players. We're lucky enough to get the lads out on loan and we are grateful to their clubs for letting them come.

"They are both a threat, very comfortable on the ball and they are great around the dressing room as well."
