Tranmere's on-loan forward Jose Baxter would like to extend his stay at Prenton Park in order to gain more first team experience.
The 19-year-old joined the club on a month's loan from Everton on Friday.
"Who knows, hopefully I'll get it extended if the gaffer wants to," Baxter told BBC Radio Merseyside.
"I'm not really match fit but the more I play the fitter I'll get. I could have come here sooner but I was wanted at Everton. I'm made up to be here."
The forward scored on his debut in Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Preston, and he admits to being a little apprehensive ahead of his first Tranmere start.
"I've been worrying about it all week," he added. "Will I score or won't I score? But to get it out of the way in the first game was brilliant.
"Not scoring more myself and for us not to score more as a team was a bit disappointing because I think we deserved more from the game."
