Boston United have signed former Nottingham Forest and Huddersfield utility player Craig Armstrong.
Armstrong, 36, who can play in defence or midfield, began the season as player-manager at the Pilgrims' Blue Square Bet North rivals Eastwood Town.
Boston joint-boss Lee Canoville told the club's website: "Craig is somebody that myself and Jason [Lee, co-manager] know well.
"He is a utility player and provides us with a lot options."
Armstrong began his career with Forest before moving to Huddersfield for £750,000 in 1999, and also had spells in the Football League with Sheffield Wednesday and Cheltenham Town.
He took charge of Eastwood along with Jamie Brough in May 2011 following Paul Cox's departure to Mansfield, but resigned for personal reasons in September after only eight games as Badgers joint-manager.
