Scunthorpe United have extended the loan deal of Everton defender Shane Duffy by a further month.
The 20-year-old has made four appearances for the Iron, who are also hoping to extend the loan of Manchester United goalkeeper Sam Johnstone.
The Iron have also been boosted by news that fellow defender Paul Reid has not sustained a broken nose or cheekbone and will return to training this week.
He could now be in line to face Stevenage on Saturday.
Scunthorpe boss Alan Knill told the club's website: "Paul is going to see a specialist on Wednesday and we are not expecting anything negative.
"To be honest we were told he could have trained on Tuesday but as a management team we decided to leave it.
"We are fully expecting him to be OK to train on Thursday."
The former Colchester man picked up the injury during the 2-1 win over Yeovil Town, and Knill admitted he had been concerned the injury was more serious.
"At first we were worried that he had fractured his cheekbone which would have kept him out for a while, however it turns out that wasn't the case.
"He had his nose reset on Saturday and barring any complications he should be available for the weekend."
