Lincoln City have signed French defender Jean Arnaud on a short-term contract until mid-January 2012 after he impressed on trial.
Arnaud, 24, began his career at Lens and spent last season at French lower-league side Libourne.
Imps manager Steve Tilson told BBC Lincolnshire: "He can play right-back or centre-half and has good pace.
"I would rather try to get cover in as squad players rather than as loans and I'm sure he can do a good job for us."
Aranud is the third Frenchman in the Blue Square Bet Premier side's squad, alongside Francis Laurent and Jean-Francois Christophe.
