Forest Green Rovers have signed winger Jake Thomson on loan from Blue Square Bet Premier rivals Kettering Town.

The 22-year-old was immediately handed his debut in Rovers' 1-1 draw with Newport on Tuesday.

The Trinidad & Tobago international started his career at Southampton before signing for Exeter in 2010, where he went on to play 18 games.

He was released by the Grecians in the summer and joined Kettering where he since made four substitute appearances.

Thomson has previously had loan spells at Bournemouth, Torquay and Cheltenham Town.
