Torquay United boss Martin Ling says he is hopeful that Lee Mansell, Kevin Nicholson and Chris Robertson will all sign new deals at the club.

The trio have played more than 600 games for Torquay between them.

"The initial contact has been positive in all departments, I don't foresee any problems," Ling told BBC Radio Devon.

"But you never know until you get to the nitty gritty of finances and alike to see if players really want to commit," he added.

All three have been ever-present in Ling's side since he took over at Torquay in the summer.

"We've tried to express where we're going as a club and they've obviously seen a period of me now.

"I've been here for around four months so they know what I'm about and where we're hoping to go with Torquay," Ling added.

Ling has already secured the services of midfielder Eunan O'Kane until the summer of 2014.
