Fleetwood missed out on the chance to go top of the Blue Square Bet Premier as they were held to a goalless draw by Forest Green.
In a game of few chances, Rovers keeper James Bittner did well to smother Richard Brodie's first-half shot.
Scott Davies denied Yan Klukowski from Forest Green's best opening.
The visitors did have the ball in the net when Charlie Griffin bundled in James Norwood's cross but their joy was cut short by an offside flag.
VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Forest Green boss Dave Hockaday told BBC Radio Gloucestershire:
"I'm very proud. We came here and didn't believe and gave them too much respect for the first 30 minutes, but the last 15 minutes of the second half we were the better team.
"I would like to see Charlie Griffin's disallowed goal because he was struggling to get to it and I cannot believe that he was offside.
"We had the better chances so I'm really proud of the boys and I can't fault anyone today. We restricted them to just pumping balls into the box, and they're meant to be the best team in the league."
