Burkina Faso striker Alain Traore extends Auxerre stay

Burkina Faso striker Alain Traore has signed a new contract which will keep him at French side Auxerre until 2015.
The 22-year-old signed a one-year extension to his previous deal which would have expired in 2014.
Traore is the joint leading scorer in Ligue 1, having scored six goals in nine appearances so far this season.
"Alain Traore has chosen to extend his contract with Auxerre after his excellent start to the season," a club statement said.
The forward joined Auxerre in 2005 and progressed through their academy system.
He was discovered while playing at the Planete Champion football school in Burkina Faso.
Meanwhile, Traore is among three players named on Monday for the Ligue 1 Player of the Month award for September.
He will compete with Lyon striker Bafetimbi Gomis and Javier Pastore of PSG for the monthly award.
