Braintree boss Alan Devonshire has claimed officials favour the Blue Square Bet Premier's bigger sides.

Devonshire was left fuming with referee Stephen Martin following .

"I get annoyed when these big clubs play against Braintree - we had it at Luton - where all the decisions go their way," he told BBC Essex.

"They don't need any help these big clubs, it just seems decisions that are 50-50 always go their way."

The former West Ham and Watford midfielder continued: "Some of the decisions were strange and to be fair it's always against us.

"There was a foul down on Jai Reason on the edge of the box and how he's given it the other way I do not know.

"The boy up front [Richard Brodie], I don't know how many fouls he made before he's got booked.

"We've made a couple of fouls in the first half and got booked straight away, so how's that work?

"When the referee's shaking hands after the game, calling them all by their first names, I'm not being funny but I don't like that."
