Ipswich Town boss Paul Jewell has said he will continue to try to add more loan signings after missing out on Liverpool midfielder Jonjo Shelvey.
Shelvey, 19, went to Blackpool, but Jewell is still keen to add to his tally of five loanees at Portman Road.
"We tried to get Shelvey here on Friday, but Blackpool could guarantee him starts," he told BBC Radio Suffolk.
"At this moment, we want to improve the squad, but anybody who comes in will have to be patient."
Loan signings David Stockdale, Reece Wabara, Danny Collins and Keith Andrews were named in the squad that beat Brighton 3-1 at the weekend, but Daryl Murphy is sidelined by injury.
"We're looking for other players, we can only have five loan players on a team sheet, so we can't bring loads in," said Jewell, whose side have taken 10 points from their last four games.
"We're always looking to improve the squad and after a couple of wins you can almost sit back and think we've cracked it - but we haven't cracked it, and I don't want the players to think that."
