Peterborough United have moved to distance their boss Darren Ferguson from the vacant manager's position at Nottingham Forest.
Posh chairman Darragh MacAnthony has spoken out after reports linked Ferguson to the City Ground.
"It's a compliment to our gaffer and what he has done since leaving Preston. No approach so all cool," he said on social networking site Twitter.
"Emailed gaffer and he phoned me to say 'put your replacement list away'."
Ferguson was given the chance to manage an established Championship side when he took the reins at Preston in early 2010.
But his spell at Deepdale was unsuccessful and the Scot was sacked after less than 12 months, before quickly returning to London Road for his second stint as Posh boss.
Forest are searching for a new manager following Steve McClaren's resgnation on Sunday.
