Brentford 0-0 Scunthorpe

Ten-man Scunthorpe held Brentford to a scrappy goalless draw.

The visitors looked the most dangerous in the first half. Shane Duffy forced a reflex save from Richard Lee and Chris Dagnall volleyed over from close range.

Brentford's best chance came when Celtic loanee Niall McGinn saw his low drive tipped wide by Sam Johnstone.

Scunthorpe had Andrew Wright sent off with 20 minutes to go for a second bookable offence and Marcus Bean went close for the hosts with two headers.

Brentford manager Uwe Rosler told BBC London 94.9:

Rosler blames draw on illness

"We spoiled the party today. It was surprising that the team didn't look as fresh as we'd hoped.

"We have a few players with a virus in the camp.

"We had three players with cramps, maybe we trained too hard this week. I have to blame myself I think."
