Fleetwood v Newport County (Tues)

Blue Square Bet Premier

Newport will be without defender Lee Baker for the trip to high-flying Fleetwood in the Blue Square Bet Premier.

Baker injured his shoulder during Saturday's 3-0 home defeat to Southport and is expected to be out of action for a considerable length of time.

Goalkeeper Danny Potter is a doubt, but otherwise new boss Justin Edinburgh has no further injury worries.

The former Tottenham defender was appointed manager last week and is still chasing his first victory.

Edinburgh acknowledged the Southport defeat was a disappointing start to his tenure and warned his side are facing a battle.

"We've got to scrape our way out of this," said Edinburgh. "We are in a position where we are staring at a dog fight

"We've got to roll our sleeves up and maybe be a little more direct than we have been in the past.

"I'd like to give the players five games to prove to myself that they are mentally and physically capable of getting Newport County out of the position that we're in right now."
