Alfreton Town manager Nicky Law has lambasted his side's defending and says he is on the lookout for new players.

The Reds drew 1-1 with 10-man Kettering Town on Saturday and lost 3-1 at home to Lincoln City on Tuesday.

He said: "People will see the Lincoln result and think it's a towsing. But anybody there will know different.

"We are coming unstuck with some individuals who either don't want to defend or can't. That is why I will be out looking for players who want to."

Law whose side are second from bottom in the Blue Square Bet Premier table and already five points from safety, added: "We know that if you have got defenders who can't defend properly, you won't win games of football.

"And that's what we had, that's where we were against Lincoln.

"It wasn't there on Saturday and we looked set for victory, but then we give a needless penalty away. For me, it was the only way Kettering were going to score."
