The eight-team event, from which three sides automatically qualify for next year's Olympics, is also being marketed as the Confederation of African Football's inaugural Under-23 Championships.
Morocco replaced Egypt this week as hosts of the event, after their fellow North Africans pulled out citing a potential clash with impending political elections.
