Former Leverkusen boss keen on vacant Zambia post

Former Bayer Leverkusen coach Klaus Toppmoeller and ex-Chelsea assistant Henk Ten Cate headline the list of applicants for the vacant Zambia post.
Despite qualifying for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday, Dario Bonetti was fired two days later.
The Zambian FA (Faz) has already received applications from two dozen foreign coaches.
Among them are former Ghana coach Mariano Barreto, ex-Togo boss Antonio Dumas and Belgium's Tom Saintfiet.
Saintfiet was previously in charge of both Ethiopia and Namibia, leaving the latter to briefly take charge of Zimbabwe - only to be dismissed in a mix-up over work permit issues.
Toppmoeller's first foray into the world of international football came when he took charge of Georgia between 2006-2008.
However, his greatest success came in 2002 when he led Bayer Leverkusen to the final of the Uefa Champions League, where they were beaten by Real Madrid.
Ten Cate, meanwhile, has previously led Ajax Amsterdam and worked as an assistant at two of Europe's top clubs: Barcelona in Spain and Premier League side Chelsea.
Among the list of applicants are nationals from Argentina, England, Spain, Germany, Ukraine, Portugal, Serbia, France, Greece and Italy.
A Faz official has said the process for appointing a new coach will become clearer next week - but time is running out with less than 100 days to go before the Nations Cup kicks off.
