Norwich City duo Anthony Pilkington and Russell Martin have expressed their delight after the Canaries 3-1 win over Swansea City on Saturday.
Pilkington scored a brace with Martin netting the other as the newly-promoted side moved up to ninth.
Martin, 25, told BBC Radio Norfolk: "It was a great win and we knew it was an important game.
Pilkington, 23, added: "These are the games we need to win and it's a massive three points for us."
The former Huddersfield winger had missed some guilt-edged chances in the Canaries' last outing, a 2-0 defeat at Old Trafford, but said the opportunities had not been on his mind.
"Everyone mentioned the chances but everyone misses them at some point. It's how you respond," he continued.
"To get the chance after 48 seconds to put it right I couldn't have dreamt of a better response.
"I caught it sweet and there was no one more delighted than me that it went it."
Full-back Martin has found himself at centre-half in the last few games and is enjoying the challenge of playing in the middle.
"I'm really loving playing there, I'd like to stay there for as long as the gaffer will have me.
"I think me and Barny (Leon Barnett) have improved with every game we've played together there but we've got a few lads coming back. It's up to me to stay in there."
