Southampton defender Radhi Jaidi to have knee surgery
Southampton defender Radhi Jaidi faces longer on the sidelines with manager Nigel Adkins confirming the 36-year-old is to have an arthroscopy on his knee.
Jaidi injured his knee in pre-season and Adkins said the Tunisia defender will be out for several more weeks.
"Big Radhi Jaidi is going to have an arthroscopy on Wednesday," Adkins told BBC Radio Solent.
"He hasn't recovered from the injury he picked up in pre-season so the surgeon will have a little look inside."
Adkins added: "We will see what is wrong and hopefully that will help with his recovery."
Jaidi, who has made over 60 appearances for the Championship leaders, signed for Southampton in January 2009, but is yet to play this season.
His former clubs include Birmingham and Bolton but he began his career at Esperance.
