Beckford's fee may rise to £4m after signing for an initial £3m

Leicester City manager Sven-Goran Eriksson has urged fans to reserve judgement on striker Jermaine Beckford.

Beckford, who joined from Everton in August, has yet to score in five Championship games for the Foxes, including Sunday's loss at Birmingham.

Eriksson told BBC Radio Leicester: "We haven't seen the best of him yet.

"But it's not fair to judge in a game like Birmingham because with 10 men you have to gamble and it was difficult for the strikers."
